St. Malachy Athletic Committee Meeting Date: July 31, 2005 Time: 6:30 Location: St. Malachy Parish Center Conference Room Minutes: 1. Attendance: Mike Arnold, Clay Courtney, Randy Schmidt, Becky Rollett, Annette Vasillo, Teri Miller, Bryon Meunier, Karen Shafer and Angie Sturm 2. Roles and Responsibilities of Athletic Committee Members > Athletic Director – Angie Sturm > Assistant Athletic Director – Randy Schmidt > Secretary – position needed to be filled > Treasurer – Clay Courtney > Gym Manager – Terri Fech > Concessions Manager – Teri Miller > Equipment Manager – Nancy Dorsa > Registrar – Clay Courtney > Coordinators 1. Football – Bryon Meunier 2. Cross Country – Chuck Damler 3. Kickball – Angie Sturm 4. Girls Basketball – Steve Sturm 5. Boys Basketball – Randy Schmidt 6. Girls Volleyball – Karen Shaffer 7. Wrestling – Dan Sulkowske 8. Soccer – Randy Schmidt 9. Track – Mark Kramer 10. Cheerleading – Becky Rollett and Mary Ellen Loberger 3. Future meetings – discussed the possibility of moving to another night and everyone agreed it best to continue with the last Sunday of the month at 6:30pm. 4. Financial Report – Clay Courtney is our new treasurer. Financial report should be available at the next meeting. 5. Physicals – will be held August 18th in the gym. Dr. Vicars, Dr. Rogers, Dr. Lynn, Dr. Fesenmeier and Dr. Schopper will all be able to help. The cost continues at $7.00. 6. Fall Sports Update > Football 1. 5 teams – Cadet, 6th grade, 5th grade, 4th grade and 3rd grade. 2. Coaches - Mark Meunier(Cadet), Dan Sulkowske(6th grade), Bryon Meunier(5th grade), Joe Miller(4th grade) and Danny Wynne(3rd grade) 3. New equipment ordered so all boys are dressed. 4. First game will be September 10th. > Kickball 1. 7 teams – Cadet A, Cadet B, 56A, 2 56B and 2 4th grade teams. 2. Coaches - Karen Shaffer(Cadet A), Donna Metallic(Cadet B), Angie Sturm(56A), Kevin Thomas(56B), Pam Hardegree(56B), Nikki Merrill(4th grade) and Carmen Lopez(4th grade). 3. Games start August 22nd. > Cross country 1. Only about 10 kids running. 2. Practicing at the Damler’s home again. 3. All kids have a uniform. 4. Meets start September 6th. > Cheerleading 1. Program has really grown. 2. Have a cadet squad, 56th and 3rd and 4th. 3. Some girls do not have uniforms. 4. Becky will provide to the group the needed dollar amount. 5.
