St. Malachy Athletic Committee Meeting

Attendees:  Mike Arnould , Sister Barbara Reder, Scott Hanny, Tom Gliva, Jim Yetter

Treasure’s Report:
The budget is on track.  Funds need to transferred to Green & White.  June 30th is the fiscal year end.
The Budget has been turned into the Parish.
Cheerleading wants to purchase 24 uniforms.  Clay is working with them to keep to the budget.

Pastoral Associate Report:
We are still having issues with Noll Hall access.  Sister Barbara spoke to Mary Sullivan about non-Winter sports access to the gym.  Mary would like to write up a guideline for use of the gym for good stewardship.  Sister Barbara will work on the guidelines.

CYO
Andy Bratton received his award.  Lori McFarland was not able to attend the award ceremony.  The CYO has posted their calendar on their website.

Sports Updates-

Spring Kickball:
4th grade had a good season.

Track:
City meet was Wednesday.  St. Malachy had a good showing.

Baseball:
The season is over.  The final game was 7 – 8 in overtime.  We played CYO and some teams outside CYO, such as home school and travel teams..

Soccer:
Soccer is over.  One team is advancing to the post season.

Softball:
Softball went well.

Fall Sports:
The CYO registration deadline is July 18th.  The CYO accept on-line registration starting June 16th.

Summer Sports Camps:
Baseball camps will be held at Cardinal Elementary.  Dates are to be determined.
Football – Weigh in will be August 16th.  The Physical date has not yet been determined.  Camp will be July 28th MWF and the following week MWF.

Virtus Training:
One Kickball coach completed training.  One Baseball coach did not get trained due to the cancellation of the St. Malachy session

Upcoming Events:
Arts in the Park is July 19th.  Volunteers are needed.  

Misc.:
KeyPads are now fixed

Summer Events:
Volleyball has a walk on policy for their clinics.
Kickball clinic is whenever people show up.
Basketball will have registrations for camp.
Cheerleading will be free to all participants. 

Next Meeting:
The next meeting will by Sunday June 29th at 7:00 pm at the parish conference room.
